And you just want to run,
It can't rain forever.

When family is pain,
When friends can't be found,
When you just want to scream

When it's all your fault,
And you feel like you're done,

The sunshine will come.

The storm always passes.

What Life Should Be

To learn while still a child
What this life is meant to be.
To know it goes beyond myself,
It's so much more than me.

To overcome the tragedies,
To survive the hardest times.
To face those moments filled with pain,
And still manage to be kind.

To fight for those who can't themselves,
To always share my light.
With those who wander in the dark,
To love with all my might.

To still stand up with courage,
Though standing on my own.
To still get up and face each day,
Even when I feel alone.

To try to understand the ones
That no one cares to know.
And make them feel some value
When the world has let them go.

To be an anchor, strong and true,
That person loyal to the end.
To be a constant source of hope
To my family and my friends.

To live a life of decency,
To share my heart and soul.
To always say I'm sorry
When I've harmed both friend and foe.

Keep On Smiling

Finding A Will When Wanting To Quit

Times will get rough and sometimes tough,
Where you may say that you have had enough,
Where you may fall and need a lift,
Where the hurt of your pains may leave you stiff.
When all things may seem to go wrong,
Just pick up some faith and carry on,
Because you may never know how close you've come to be,
To reach the throne of victory.
There has been some time that passed,
That many thought they could not last.
But with a mighty blow they've come to see,
That they had made history.
When you may feel that there is nothing that you can do,
Here is something you can refer to.
As some people say, "Where there is a will, there's a way."
With this being said, I feel a brighter day,
One without hurt, one without sorrow,
One with a brighter tomorrow.
So, in the fight, you may get knocked down,
But get back up without a frown,
Because it's when you're hardest hit
That you must say that you will not quit.
So push on harder and hear me when I say,

But if you let courage be your guide,

When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must—but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up, though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit--
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.
